Behind the curtain
Back in operation
Our website transition is complete; PathfinderTheatre.com is now at home on a new server, hosted by a different hosting company. So far, so good! In fact, it looks like our page load times have decreased considerably — that means that the site loads faster, which should make it easier to use. No more sitting around, twiddling your thumbs, waiting for the page content to show up.
Upgrades and downtime
We are moving PathfinderTheatre.com — all our websites, in fact— to another hosting company in the hopes of making our websites faster and more dependable.
While we make the transition, there may be some downtime. You may try to visit PathfinderTheatre.com — and receive error messages instead of accessing our site.
Remembering September 11, ten years later
There were a lot of news stories and memorials on and around the 11th this year — but as artistic director of Pathfinder Theatre, I was focused (by necessity) on The Guys. I couldn’t handle a lot of reminders; I was living out the reality of that day already in rehearsals and performances.
Opening night for our inaugural production
Artists and athletes often make it look easy. You watch football players, basketball players, dancers, actors, or ice skaters perform at their best — and it looks effortless. Graceful. Beautiful. Powerful.
But as anyone knows who has been (or is) an athlete or artist, it takes years of training and days, weeks, even months of hard work.
Our inaugural production
Pathfinder Theatre is proud to announce our inaugural production: We will hold a staged reading of Anne Nelson’s play The Guys on September 9 and 10 at the Greensboro School of Creativity at 7 p.m.
Support Pathfinder Theatre
Now there are two new ways you can support Pathfinder Theatre: Become an angel (that’s the traditional term for financial supporters and backers of theatre companies) or visit our CafePress store.
The adventure begins
I landed a new job this week — at a pay scale that will allow me to begin to put some money into founding and running Pathfinder Theatre.
Why start yet another theatre company in the Triad area of North Carolina?
